Impeachment and the court's ruling

Ten days after the declaration of martial law the National Assembly passed a motion of impeachment, and in April 2025 the Constitutional Court ruled for removal from office. That the procedure ran to its end exactly as the law prescribes was widely noted both at home and abroad.
