A sixteen-year-old Taiwanese member held a Taiwanese flag on a variety show; when Chinese media made an issue of it, her agency released a video apology, which went public the day before Taiwan's presidential election. It is the standard example of what happens when an idol is placed inside a geopolitical dispute.
