hanok (한옥)

Wooden posts, tiled roofs and an empty courtyard in the middle. You sit on the raised wooden floor to catch a breeze in summer and live on heated floors in winter — a structure built to survive the seasons. They were demolished as inconvenient, and are now being restored as cafés and guest houses.
